Another great contrast Howard. It's interesting that Google's Streetview now tosses up little business "signs" not unlike the signage in 1914.
ReplyDeleteThe High Street back then looks so much 'healthier' economically than high streets nowadays. The whole shopping experience always looks very 'rich' (in terms of varieties etc) and interesting.
