"Hippodrome" is such an interesting word. I wonder why the Hippodrome was torn down while the building across the street survived.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see the animated toy shop at the hippodrome. Sounds very interesting.

It is too bad that they tore it down; it looks like a wonderful old building.

A fine building. The business centre just isn’t the same.
ReplyDeleteAnother characteristic building gone...
ReplyDeleteThe old building has so much more character. I am continually amazed how you you keep turning up cards like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast between the two buildings. The original building had such style and detail. The modern building can't compare.
ReplyDeleteWhat a disappointing change. When are they going tear the "new" building down and erect something with a little more style?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely old building! Such a shame it was torn down. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteModern buildings never hold up to the originals, same with remodeled buildings. Great card!
