That's a handsome building that must date to the very first railway stations. It's interesting that the station code is GOD.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! So many were demolished, lucky for Godalming that they got to keep their fine station.
ReplyDeleteThe main features are the same, but the old view is more attractive.
ReplyDeleteHooray, what a great place to be able to visit still!
ReplyDeleteMany great adventures much have begun there!
ReplyDeleteThere were never that many taxis waiting when I arrived at Godalming station with heavy suitcases on my way to training venues in the 1990s and early 2000s. I must admit I did not stand and admire the station which looks much more inviting on the postcard.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photograph - full to the brim with detail.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great train station. It's so nice that it's still there, all in one piece. Amazing.
