Wonderful postcard, the inn looks as if it stood at an important junction. Some (probably most) of the 1970s redevelopment is just criminal. What were they thinking?
ReplyDeleteIndeed, what were they thinking?
DeleteThey were thinking, "Someday this building will be a listed 20th century landmark included in National Trust." Perhaps if it lasts another 1000 years.
ReplyDeleteThe meeting lobbies of the apparent multitude of hotels of the city are fitted with the most recent varying media hardware and contraptions, for example, 35mm slide projectors, flip diagrams and markers, advanced projectors, LCD projectors, overhead projectors.
