Gracechurch Street, City Of London circa 1904 and circa 1930. Nothing has survived from the 1904 postcard in the present Google Street View. The aerial view postcard below that was taken in about 1930. Gracechurch Street goes from the large white building in the foreground (the present day House of Fraser department store) to the middle top of the picture. Wren's Monument to the Great Fire of London is at the bottom right. Click the postcards to enlarge.

Old postcards from the early 20th century, compared to the same view shown on Google Street View today. The postcards come from my own collection. Almost all of them are from England, mainly showing West London, Middlesex, Surrey, Berks and Bucks. Click on the postcards to see enlarged versions. Street View images are the copyright of Google.
