Guildford, Surrey, St Nicolas' Church circa 1910. St Nicolas is at the lower end of the High Street. This church was built in 1876 on the site of an earlier building. I think the WHA postcard below called 'Lady's Chapel' may actually be 'Loseley Chapel'. Postcards by Young & Co of Teddington and WHA, click to enlarge.

it's Quite An Imposing Building. And Looks An Impressive Size Inside.I Wonder ,if it gets much noisy traffic from what looks like a busy road outside?
ReplyDeleteA great collection of St Nicholas. I have huge family connections to the church & was christened there at the end of the 1960s. Alas my Christening Certificate has my Mum's middle name, so I wonder if it was the same vicar!
