The station hasn't changed much, but I suspect the neighborhood has.
ReplyDeleteNice to see that the station is still recognisable! Fine architecture!
ReplyDeleteThe station and its surroundings were never that empty when I travelled to Nottingham for business in the 1990s.
ReplyDeleteIsn't life funny how these strong beautiful masses of stunning buildings can indeed outlast all of our breaths! I fear most of those built today will not....especially the plastic vinyl-sided houses...
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't changed at all! I've been through it a number of times but I didn't see Bob.
ReplyDeleteNot a car in sight in the first view! It never ceases to amaze me how many of these buildings remain unchanged.
ReplyDeleteI've not been to Nottingham station, but I travelled through Leicester station several times a few years ago and, from memory, the entrance looks almost identical. Nice to see it still much as it was back then.
ReplyDeleteA very nice then and now! Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteKathy M.
How wonderful that building has survived all these years relatively unchanged! It's a beautiful piece of architecture. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThere are a number of architectural similarities to Sheffield Midland Station. But the Sheffield station has been updated and improved and in a comparatively rare move - is now better than it was before.
