Old postcards from the early 20th century, compared to the same view shown on Google Street View today. The postcards come from my own collection. Almost all of them are from England, mainly showing West London, Middlesex, Surrey, Berks and Bucks. Click on the postcards to see enlarged versions. Street View images are the copyright of Google. Twickenham, Heath Road, Witt Bakers Shop, 1907
Witt had a series of postcards produced to promote their bakery shop at 34 Heath Road, Twickenham.
One of the shops on the left was Blays motor cycles which was run by two brothers. They were there throughout the second world war but I don't know when it closed.
Am researching old Twickenham for my genealogy..
